U\u017e 47 hodin p\u0159edem je mo\u017en\u00e9 prov\u00e9st pohodln\u00e9 online odbaven\u00ed z domova, ale i na leti\u0161ti jsou velmi vst\u0159\u00edcn\u00ed pracovn\u00edci. Webov\u00e9 str\u00e1nky aerolinek jsou p\u0159ehledn\u00e9, e-mailem doraz\u00ed v\u0161echny pot\u0159ebn\u00e9 informace a orienta\u010dn\u00ed zna\u010den\u00ed je tak\u00e9 velmi dob\u0159e zpracovan\u00e9. Kdy\u017e tedy \u010dlov\u011bk doraz\u00ed na leti\u0161t\u011b v\u010das, dostane se bez probl\u00e9m\u016f a\u017e do letadla, ani nev\u00ed jak.<\/p>\n
Let\u011bla jsem s Austrian Airlines, let trval zhruba 2,5 hodiny. Leti\u0161t\u011b v Larnace na Kypru je rovn\u011b\u017e dob\u0159e zna\u010den\u00e9. Po pasov\u00e9 kontrole a vyzvednut\u00ed kufru na m\u011b \u010dekal tax\u00edk, kter\u00fd m\u011b odvezl do 60 km vzd\u00e1len\u00e9ho hotelu Navarria v Limassolu. P\u0159ilet\u011bla jsem v ned\u011bli a hned v pond\u011bl\u00ed jsem vyrazila do \u0161koly. P\u0159ed hotelem n\u00e1s vyzvedl shuttle bus a dovezl ke \u0161kole.<\/p>\n
Po p\u0159ihl\u00e1\u0161en\u00ed a \u00favodn\u00edm p\u0159edstaven\u00ed \u0161koly jsme byli rozd\u011bleni do t\u0159\u00edd po zhruba 10\u201312 studentech. Na\u0161e u\u010ditelka se jmenovala Stephani a moji spolu\u017e\u00e1ci byli z It\u00e1lie, Polska, Francie, \u0160pan\u011blska a Slovenska. Procvi\u010dovali jsme gramatiku, poslech, \u010dten\u00ed i psan\u00ed. Na z\u00e1v\u011br t\u00fddne jsme v\u017edy psali test. \u0160kola tak\u00e9 nab\u00edz\u00ed mo\u017enost r\u016fzn\u00fdch v\u00fdlet\u016f po vyu\u010dov\u00e1n\u00ed a neform\u00e1ln\u00edch konverza\u010dn\u00edch odpoledn\u00ed.<\/p>\n
V r\u00e1mci nab\u00eddky jsem nav\u0161t\u00edvila Lefkaru, malebnou kyperskou vesni\u010dku, kter\u00e1 se nach\u00e1z\u00ed 8 km od m\u011bste\u010dka Skarinou a 40 km od Larnaky. Proslavila se v\u00fdrobou krajky zvan\u00e9 \u201elefkaritika\u201c a st\u0159\u00edbrn\u00fdmi v\u00fdrobky. M\u00edstn\u00ed \u017eeny zde dodnes ru\u010dn\u011b vyr\u00e1b\u011bj\u00ed \u201ekrajku z Lefkary\u201c z irsk\u00e9ho pl\u00e1tna.<\/p>\n

The key to making everything run smoothly is having a knowledgeable coordinator and overcoming the fear of the unknown.<\/p>\n I flew from Vienna. Online check-in is available 47 hours in advance, but the airport staff are also very helpful. The airline\u2019s website is clear and easy to use, they send all the necessary information by email, and everything at the airport is well signposted. If you arrive on time, you can get to your gate and board the plane without any problems.<\/p>\n I flew with Austrian Airlines, and the flight took about two and a half hours. Larnaca Airport in Cyprus is also well organized. After passing through security and collecting my suitcase, I found a taxi waiting to take me to the Navarria Hotel in Limassol, about 60 km away. I arrived on Sunday, and on Monday morning I went straight to school. A shuttle bus picked us up in front of the hotel and took us directly there.<\/p>\n After registration and an introductory presentation, we were divided into classes of about 10\u201312 students. Our teacher\u2019s name was Stephani, and my classmates came from Italy, Poland, France, Spain, and Slovakia. We practiced grammar, listening, reading, and writing, and at the end of each week we had a test. The school also organizes after-class trips and informal conversation afternoons.<\/p>\n As part of the program, I visited Lefkara, a picturesque Cypriot village located 8 km from Skarinou and 40 km from Larnaca. It is famous for its lace-making tradition, known as lefkaritika<\/em>, as well as for its silver products.
